Best of the Northwest Show

I participated in my first "BIG" Festival show last weekend.  It was a wonderful experience and I was mostly happy with the final result.  :)  Below is a picture of my part of the booth as I shared a 10x10 space with a fun and helpful woodworker.

It's amazing to see where God has taken me over the past six months.. but there for sure is a LOT more to learn.  Even in this display, running out of resources, I decided to use my own dresser drawers for the displays.  I really liked how it turned out though :)  Also, I had bought a new printer the week before and found myself in the middle of chaos.... the ink wasn't working and i had to order new ink... but that wouldn't come in time... so i decided to take it out and give it a little extra shake.... wondering if I'd have more of a mess than success; however, it worked perfectly after that and so I was able to finish making the greeting cards and coasters. Yeah!!!!

Below you can see a picture of my dining room table.... coasters in the making :)

ALthough I've discovered more and more challenges as being an artist, I have also come to appreciate them.  There comes a moment when you are sitting at your booth, waiting for the crowds (hopefully) to begin trickling past.... and then you stop and look around... everything comes together, though not perfectly, it comes together.  I look across at my neighbors who have the same fears and questions that I have and yet, they still persevere and work hard to do what they love the most.  I hope that you too will listen to what your heart is telling you to do and work at it with passion and purpose.... leaving all the results up to God... but giving it your all and enjoying it every step of the way. :) (and let me tell you.... I too am talking to myself when I say that)

Blessings!
