One snap at a time, I've gone to LOVE photography. Just before my firstborn was ... well... born ;) I took the little income I had made with my art & bought myself a mirrorless Sony 6000. With the first shots of him just after his first open heart surgery, I fell in love with it and the rest is history...... will write more.
Facts
• Most common birth defect in the USA.
• 1 in 100 kids are born a heart defect every year.
• In the last decade, deaths have decreased by nearly 30% due to advancements in research; however, the funding for CHD is still very VERY low compared to other diseases & cancers.
• 2x the amount of deaths are from CHD a year than all forms of childhood cancers combined.
• There are about 40 different kinds of heart defects. There are no cures for any of them yet.
